Our Trip to Florida

We are back from a week long vacation in Florida. We stayed around the corner from Grandma Helwig at the Senese's beautiful condo with Grandma and Grandpa Georger. Unfortunately, the weather was the worst I have seen in 20 years of traveling to southwest Florida for spring break, but there were a few beautiful days. Here are some pictures of our trip.

We stayed the first night at Grandma Helwig's house. Uncle Dan (my grandma's brother) was there as well. Here is Bridget eating some melon.

Bridget loved the Senese's kitchen. She would go round and round and open all the cupboards.

We went to the pool on a gray day. No one was there and Bridget did not want to be in the water.

At Sanibel. It was cool and gray, but the water was wonderfully calm.

At Ft. Myer's Beach on Wednesday. It was the best day. Here is Bridget with Grandma and Grandpa Georger.

Bridget loved her chair, but preferred running around the sand and approaching as many groups of strangers as possible. She honestly believes that any group of people assembled, must be there for her.

We enjoyed the Beached Whale for lunch. Bridget loved grandma's guac, but not the virgin Colada I ordered for her.

So, there was an alligator in the lake at the condo we were at. Everyone said it's fine as long as he doesn't cross the sidewalk. I thought it was a little scary, so Matt took the picture.

On Friday a major storm hit, so we went to the beach the following day. It was really windy, but nice and sunny out. Here are some pictures of us at a beach in Naples.

We met up with friends (The Hayes) and family (cousin Meghan, and Aunt Carol and Uncle Harlan) for lunch.

It was a great trip. Now I need a vacation from my vacation. Off to Buffalo we go.
