18 Month Check Up

We had Bridget's 18 month check up today. She was happy until we walked into the room and the nurse adjusted the paper on the table. At that moment Bridget realized, "Oh, no! This is the room that they give me shots." She was highly skeptical of everything that followed and battled us every step of the way. Here are the numbers:

Weight: 25 pounds 8 ounces- 65 %ile, Height: 70%ile, head 65%ile. No more shots until she's 2.

18 months old

Bridget is 18 months old today and here is an update:

She loves to walk and run around. Exploring outside this spring has been her favorite thing to do. Every time we see a dog she says, "dog" or "there's a dog". And when I ask her if she wants to go see it she'll either shake her head yes or no, but it doesn't matter. Once the dog approaches us she freaks out.

She talks a lot more than she did at 17 months. Here is a list of words I think she says:

Mom, Dad, Bridget, dog, cat, sock, shoe, up, down, door, keys, what's this, what's that, this, there, that, hi, bye, cheerios, baby and cheese. Most of these words sound the same and I think it's debatable if she really says all of these things.

Terrible 2's are here. She has tantrums when she doesn't want to do something or if she wants me to do something. They're short lived and usually not frequent, but she definitely has her moments!

Her doctor appointment is coming up this week, so I will be able to post more information later.

Weekend with Dawd

Matt was home this weekend, and it was the first time Bridget got to see "dawd" in about 3 weeks. She was very happy he was home and enjoyed spending time with him.

We had an open house on Sunday, so we decided to go the Philly Zoo to get away. It was 75 and sunny- beautiful day. Bridget was a little cranky. Here are some pictures of the trip.

Below is the scariest animal at the zoo- the Peacock. They were roaming about and it really freaked Bridget out.

Easter Weekend

Last Tuesday began my crazy Easter weekend. I worked on Tuesday, picked up Bridget from daycare and proceeded to drive to Buffalo. It was raining pretty badly, and that turned into a horrific snowstorm in the Poconos, which made my trip extra long and extra stressful. Thank God I had a planned stopped at Maribeth's in Auburn. That became an over night stay. I continued onto Buffalo Wednesday morning, left Bridget there for the weekend, and flew out to Denver to interview and house hunt. It was a busy weekend in Denver. The highlights of which were dinner- an amazing meal in LoDo on Thursday at a "dipping grill", and a great meal with Deirdre's aunt, uncle and cousins on Friday. Here are some pictures of Bridget while she was living it up with the grandparents.
