Lafayette, CO

Today we went to Lafayette to see Joyce and her grandson Liam.  Joyce and I taught together at Stuart and her daughter, son inlaw, and grandson live northwest of Denver.  We had a fun playdate complete with exploring downstairs, upstairs, outside, and every toy Liam owns.  We ate lunch and then Liam went down for a nap.  Bridget then fell off the front porch right onto her face.  Here is a picture of her eating dinner later on.  You might be able to see her large red nose.  I will post more pictures of the event later.  This picture is from my phone.  (I can't get my camera hooked up to this lovely computer I'm using.)

Denver

We've been in Denver since Wednesday night. It was extremely stressful flying here by myself with Bridget. Southwest lost my stroller and they think it's my fault, so they aren't really looking for it. On Thursday we closed on our house, and since the sellers changed our close date on us, we are killing time until the movers can get here on Wednesday. We've done a lot of shopping, had the maids and Stanley Steemer come clean the house yesterday, and have been enjoying the local restaurants. Bridget is bored, it's not easy being in a hotel with not a lot of toys, and then when we go to the house it's huge and empty. She does enjoy the neighbors on both sides of us, as they each have 2 dogs. Above is a picture of a half of a double rainbow over our house (the one in the foreground). It has been really sunny and really hot here, but last night a storm passed through, leaving this rainbow. I will post more pictures of Bridget when I can, but I've been working of a tiny HP computer.

20 months old

Bridget is now 20 months old, and she's the same as she was- just more. Here are pixs from the past few days in WNY. She's gone for walks with Grandma Georger, run the bases with Grandpa Helwig, played in her sand and water table, and spent time with her buddy Dom.

Saying Goodbye

Here are some pictures from our visit with Beth, Morgan, and baby Alie. Bridget was afraid of the their dog and didn't want to share Morgan's toys. She occupied my time so I didn't even get to take a picture of the baby. We enjoyed our visit.

Joyce, Ginny, and Jenn threw a going away party for Howard, Katie and Me. Below are pictures from the party. It's really hard to leave, and I don't want to type or talk about it.

HOT summer days

This was a busy, hot weekend, and my report cards are still not done. On Friday Bridget and I drove into the city. She had a playdate at Jimmy and Melinda's with Mikey, and Megan and I went out to sushi with her friend. The sushi was delicious! Saturday I had a going away party at Joyce's house (will post pictures later). Today we went to the pool. It's our last weekend in New Hope, and one of our last trips to our pool.

I really should be doing report cards

Here are a few pictures from our Memorial Day Weekend at home. Bridget and I drove to Buffalo on Friday, and Matt flew in from Colorado. We went to the Bison's Game on Saturday with Uncle Adam and friends. On Saturday night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Georger's boat and had dinner. We were on the boat all day on Sunday. Bridget was terrified of the boat. We're hoping this phase will pass. Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Helwig's house for dinner on Sunday night. We drove back here on Monday, made it 5 hours or so and then Bridget puked her brains out in the backseat. Now I'm back at work and really have to do my report cards. AHHHHH!
