Easter Egg Hunt #1

It was a really hot and sunny day today.  Thought we could get some good pix at an Easter Egg Hunt.  The official Highlands Ranch Hunt is next weekend.  This, 5,000 egg hunt, was waaaaaay smaller in comparison.

 Here are Bridget and Ava at dance.  Bridget brought baby Hannah to watch.  She needed to wear matching tutus and necklaces with baby Hannah.  She also had on sticker earrings and her bunny ears.

Visiting Joyce and Abby

My friend, Joyce, from Princeton was up in Lafayette, visiting her daughter and grandchildren.  We had time to visit with her and baby Abby.  Abby was born in June, so she is a few months older than Thomas.

 

HAPPY St. Patty's Day!

It was a beautiful week here.  We went to an Irish Pub to watch Irish dancers and listen to music on Saturday. Bridget enjoyed the dancers, but we are looking forward to seeing a much better performance one day in Buffalo.

St. Patty's Month

Hayride

We went on a hayride on Saturday in the back country of Highlands Ranch.  It was a beautiful sunny day, but extremely windy and so it was pretty cold.  Ben and Buster were our horses and our tour guides were very informative.  We had a little campfire with hot chocolate and marshmallows to roast.

It's hard to believe Thomas is 6 months old today! He rolled over on his own today and had more rice cereal. Though he wasn't as big a fan of it today. He still has just 2 teeth and lots of patience for his big sister.

Thomas's 6 month check was today.  He is 15 pounds 14 ounces (25%ile), 26 inches long (35%ile) and 20%ile for head.  He was given the green light to start solids, so we had rice cereal tonight.  I'm going to make his baby food- never did that with Bridget, so we'll see how it goes.  I boiled up some asparagus tonight, pureed it and froze it.  That was easy.  We need to continue to work on tummy time and exercises to strengthen his neck and encourage him to roll over.  We have a recheck scheduled in a month.  Hopefully, he won't need physical therapy.  Also, we're going back to the orthopedic doctor to have a recheck on his hip.  Hopefully, everything is alright there.  Thomas is still a very happy and easy baby- that's our theory as to why he doesn't move a ton- he's just really content.
