Yesterday, we drove Uncle Dan's CRV up to Clearwater to see the Phillies play. They won. It was fun. Then 10 miles back from the stadium our car stopped on the highway going 80 miles an hour. We pulled over to the shoulder. I took Bridget out of the car and stood down a hill in the shade of a tree, thankfully there were no gators around. We called AAA for a tow truck and a cab, and then waited an hour. No cab came, so we all drove in the front of the tow truck. Bridget was on my lap and I was a nervous wreck. The truck took us to the nearest Honda dealership. They gave us a rental and we left the car there. We were still 2 hours away from my grandma's house. We got to a toll and realized that we had given the rest of our money to the tow truck and we had no cash or coins left. The sign warned of a $100 fine if we blew the toll. We had to write an IOU for the toll and continued on our way. This morning, we are waiting to hear from Honda, but so far the only guess is bad gas.
Bridget was so well behaved through the whole ordeal.
This morning when asked about yesterday she says, "I saw the Phillies game."
"Who won?"
She answers (with a question mark at the end of the sentence), "Sabres?"
She's still trying to learn her sports teams!
